Rejoice Always Programme

The Rejoice Always Programme

“Your legacy enables us all to rejoice in the Lord always, as your generosity will continue to sow the seeds of faith in perpetuity.”
+ Paul Martin SM
Bishop of Christchurch

The future of our faith begins with you.

We ask you to consider making a gift in your will.

Your legacy at the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch will strengthen our parish communities for generations to come.

Your Legacy. Our Faith.

In our history, the generosity of Catholics has enabled our parishes to grow into the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch, encompassing over 1,000km2 and embracing tens of thousands of parishioners.

This support has come from people like you who have far-reaching vision.

Inspired by the family of faithful we serve, the Diocese envisions a future where the spiritual, physical, educational, and communal needs of all Catholics within the Diocese are met.

We ask you, through today’s and tomorrow’s gifts, to help us achieve this vision.

Building Your Legacy in the Church

“I want to build upon the history of my family as benefactors, givers, and volunteers to our Church. This is a part of our family’s tradition.”
Linda O’Brien, bequest donor, Christchurch East Parish

Thank you for considering a meaningful legacy that includes the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch.

Remembering the Diocese in your will is a prayerful act that is generous, transformative, and simple to do.
– It allows you to leave a larger gift than would be possible during your lifetime, while still retaining control of your assets.
– You can leave a piece of property, securities, cash, or a percentage of your estate.

Leaving a gift to the Diocese in your will is easy:
– Talk your intentions over with your family and loved ones.
– Then speak to your lawyer or solicit or about drafting or revisiting your will, or adding a codicil.

You may bring this brochure to your solicitor, or contact us at 03 366 9869 or to arrange a complimentary solicitor’s appointment through the Church.

Be sure to inform us of your gift and your wishes. It will give us the opportunity to thank you and, more importantly, to discuss what you hope your gift will help to accomplish. Of course, be assured we will respect your privacy and confidentiality.

Every gift in every will makes a difference.

The Rejoice Always Society

The Catholic Diocese of Christchurch invites donors who have planned a future gift to join the Rejoice Always Society.

The Society, named after the motto on Bishop Paul Martin’s Coat of arms, is our way of thanking individuals who have made a special commitment to our Diocese’s future.

Members receive the following benefits:
– Recognition as Society members;
– An invitation to the Society’s annual celebration; and
– Regular updates.

A gift in your will enables us all to rejoice in the Lord always.

“I am inspired to give to the Church because of the history of our families here in Akaroa. My grandchildren are the seventh generation to be part of this parish. I give to honour those who came before us, and to demonstrate our willingness to give to those still to come.”
Ged Foley, bequest donor, Akaroa Parish
