The Catholic Youth Team is a department of the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch. As a team we serve the diocese by promoting youth ministry at Diocesan and parish levels.
Our work covers the West Coast and Canterbury areas and includes work with parishes, schools, youth leaders and young people aged 13 to 30(ish).

Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy
Christchurch Catholic tertiary students looking for companionship and support in a Catholic setting, this site may be helpful. Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy serves Canterbury University, Lincoln University, the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and the Christchurch College of Education.

Our mission is to touch the hearts and minds of students in Christchurch, at the most critical moment in their lives, and bring them to Faith, Hope, and Love in the person of Jesus Christ.
For those studying or working at Canterbury University based at Kolbe House – the centre for the University’s Catholic community. Activities include BBQ’s, big breakfasts, get-togethers, movie nights, guest speakers and an annual retreat all on offer at Kolbe House along with daily Mass in the Rochester and Rutherford Hall Chapel and Sunday Mass at St Teresa’s Parish.
The timetable for Mass during term time is as follows:
Mass is held at St Teresa’s Parish, 7pm with a student get together after Mass
Tuesday – Friday:
Held at Rochester and Rutherford Hall, 77 Ilam Road
10.30am Eucharistic Adoration
