Father Rick Loughnan announced to the Diocese that Monsignor Gerry O’Connor died suddenly peacefully at 1pm today (Tuesday) in Greymouth.
May he rest in peace.
Monsignor Gerry passed away peacefully at his home in Greymouth, on April 12, 2016, in his 87th year.
He was a much loved and respected priest of the Diocese of Christchurch for 63 years.
Funeral arrangements:
Thursday 14th April, 7.00pm: Rosary at St Patrick’s Church, High Street, Greymouth
Friday 15th April, 11.30am: Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Manchester Street,
Saturday 16th April, 11.00am: Funeral Mass at St Patrick’s Church, High Street, Greymouth, followed by burial.
