So the Mass has never Changed – Right? An historical look at the Mass
July 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Fr Tom O’Loughlin is a priest of the diocese of Arundel and Brighton on England’s south coast. He is a specialist in the early Church and the early medieval period.
The Church teaches that ‘the Liturgy is made up of immutable elements divinely instituted, and of elements subject to change. These not only may, but ought to be changed with the passage of time …’ SC21. In this session, Fr O’Loughlin will help us understand some of the changes that have taken place over the passage of time, and what, if anything, this means for us today, as we continue to respond to the wisdom of Vatican ll.
