Bishop Barry has ordained three men to the Sacred Order of Deacons.
The deacons are Do Nguyen, Tien Cao and Thanh Tran, three of the four original Vietnamese who arrived in Christchurch seven years ago,are now ordained as deacons for the Diocese of Christchurch.
Bishop Barry in his introduction said to the large congregation gathered that it was a “joyous and holy day”.
