The sad reality is that incidents of sexual abuse occur in which Church personnel are involved.

Guidelines

Procedures have been adopted to guide the investigation of each and every allegation received – this will ensure that action is taken and full enquiries are made into allegations.
Church personnel have been alerted to the tragic consequences of sexual abuse, and advised of the need for all allegations to be properly addressed.

An offer of help

Every allegation will be listened to with sympathy and treated seriously
We will ensure that appropriate professional help will be provided for those affected by sexual abuse.
Out of concern for those affected specially qualified persons are available to ensure that all allegations are properly addressed.
