A 36 month contract, commencing as soon as practical to work with young people year 7 to 13.

This part time role will run weekly meetings of the Parish Youth where the members are taught core elements of their Catholic Faith, where members are strengthened in their Faith journey and where members have fun and fellowship with other Youth.

Wellington Archdiocese – Director Catholic Schools Services, and Vicar for Education

The Archdiocese of Wellington is seeking a highly motivated, faith-filled person, passionate about and experienced in Catholic Education to manage the Archdiocese’s Catholic Education Services team, and to act as the Archbishop’s Vicar for Education.

The Catholic Schools Education Services team provides professional support to all 46 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese in Religious Education and Catholic Character for teachers, Directors of Religious Studies (DRSs), Principals and Boards of Trustees.

The role of the Vicar for Education is to represent, exercise judgement and assist the Archbishop of Wellington in the provision of Catholic Education in the schools in the Archdiocese, particularly in the Archbishop’s obligations under the State Integrated Schools, Education and Training Act 2020 as Proprietor of 41 of these schools.

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in Catholic Education, be passionate and deeply committed to the core purpose of a Catholic School, the protection and strengthening of the Catholic Character and the strategic planning and oversight of the growth and sustainability of the Catholic Schools’ network.

The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications, strong inter-personal skills, a high degree of professionalism and integrity, be pastoral and build collaborative relationships with many varied sector partners.

This position requires travel throughout the ADW to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
Remuneration package is by negotiation and in accordance with qualifications and experience.
